Why The World Needs Greener Smiles
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the planet today. The WEF Global Risks Report says that failure to mitigate climate change will be the number one risk facing humankind for the next decade.
It’s estimated that the US healthcare system produces 5.9 million tons of waste each year, and accounts for about 8-10% of the nation’s total emissions.
Addressing these challenges takes a collective effort — from individuals through to practices and governing bodies. But we can’t wait for legislation and guidelines to catch up.
Implementing changes such as energy-efficient equipment, reducing waste, and proper disposal of materials contribute to this effort.
