Meet Our Founder
Dr. Moataz (Taz) Elkasrawy
Hi, my name is Moataz, my friends call me Taz. I dream of a healthier and a more just world, one that I can trust for my daughters and for generations to follow. I’m aware that creating a sustainable future takes a village. I’m also aware it starts with each of us. And so, I decided to use my business as a source for good, to serve my community to the highest standards, to inspire others, and one day, together, perhaps change the world.
I’m the founder and practice lead of Elk Dental Decatur. My vision in creating Elk Dental Decatur in 2016 was for a practice that prioritizes genuine patient care and comfort, while also emphasizing more sustainable industry practice.
I received my dental degree from the University of Colorado Denver and my PhD in biomedical sciences from the Medical College of Georgia. I’m certified by NYU Rosenthal Institute of Aesthetic Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. I’m certified by Harvard Business School in sustainable business strategies, and by Emory University in Digital Marketing. Currently, I’m pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Sustainability from Georgia Institute of Technology, Scheller College of Business.
